Mushroom Cottage

A while back I found the cutest tutorial on this lovely blog, The little house by the see, but only now did I get a chance to make my very own Mushroom Cottage:

You can find the blog post here in case you want to give at making your own version. I used a light beige felt for the bottom instead of white and made up the embroidery as I went along, but I loved how it turned out:

It makes such a cute decoration on my craft desk and also if I want to I can use it as a pincushion. I am even thinking about making the Toadstool Cottage too to have the full pair.

Have a great day,

Crocheted brooch

Although I don`t really have time for a big crochet project, like a granny-square blanket, which by the way is on the list , now and then I crochet a flower. From two such flowers and a blue wood button I made this little brooch:

And a photo from front:

I know green is not the right color for flowers, but i`ve started knitting a scarf from this light green thread and this will be the perfect accessory for it. Hope you like it!

Have a sunny day,

New Friend

I have been experimenting with ideas to make some new phone cozies, I`ve been sketching and erasing and re-sketching when finally unable to decide I made another owl :

But then I returned to my sketch and found the new idea I wanted, it may use some minor changes perhaps, but here is the new friend, the dog phone cozy:

Here he is with the gang, who treat him as one of their own:

More photos in the shop, where you can also buy or order a custom made one for your phone. And I have a new friend in mind for future projects, so be sure to check back soon!

Bye for now,

Cute as a jar of Buttons

As you could probably tell from my previous post there are some new button earrings for the Cute as a Button collection in the shop.

Most of them are made from heart-shaped buttons in fuchsia :

in lime :

in baby blue :

and yellow :

Others are additions to the flower-shaped ones in light pink :

light blue:

and a darker purple:

They can be found in the shop for less than 2 € (= 7 Ron) a pair.
Or you can make one yourself from a couple of cute buttons you have laying around. :)

Button up!

Mini Cuteness

A crafty person can never have too many pincushions, I say. Especially if they are miniature pincushions, like these:

That is why I made sure do update my shop with some new ones, but this time they come in a common gray base that is embroidered with different motifs. The first one is combined with lime colored felt to give the effect of a mini cactus:

It is decorated with a pink flower-shaped button, spike-like french knots and flower with leafs embroidery on the side:

The second one is a gray and purple color combination with a cherry theme:

It even has little cherries embroidered on the side:

You can find them in the shop here and here. There are also more photos if you are curious! They are made using the bottle-cap pincushion method, about which I wrote in this post.

Have a great day with cherry on top!

Twins

I had a custom order to send this week.
A big brother was made to the turquoise owl to fit a bigger phone. I only shot this picture to show it to the future owner, but these two were too cute to keep to myself :

Just like twins! Too bad they had to part ways, but he will be soon with his new family and I`m sure he`ll love it there even more!

Happy Fall,
Enci
