Crocheted Bows

Hey guys, in the hunt for easy crochet patterns I found this great site with all kind of crochet projects to do.
It`s http://www.crochetspot.com/ and has an abbreviation chart too, so if you are a beginner like me it`s very helpful.

Anyways, I told myself I should start with something easy and what could be easier than a cute little crocheted bow, so I did a couple to get started:

They are plenty of other great pattern there, you should really explore the site if you are interested in crocheting.
Gotta go, I have to learn some more, I have exams coming up :|

Post-Birthday Excitement

"Diamonds are a girl's best friend" - they say, well in my case it`s not so true. You must be wondering what am I talking about?

So yesterday was my birthday and yay I got the best gift ever from my boyfriend. Of course I had to share, even though there is not so much to share yet, but there will be as soon as I get to use these beauty right here:


Guess you could rephrase to "Glue-guns are a crafty girl`s best friend". :P
I also got something else really cool and crafty, but it`s not quite finished, so I`ll show you some other time.

Fluffy Friends

Learning to crochet

I`ve started to learn the technique of crocheting. A dear friend got me started and now I can`t stop, I must admit, it`s very addictive. And it`s not helping that you can find so many patterns and tutorials on the Internet. Hehe! The only path blocker is deciphering those crochet terms... Oh, well I`ll just have to get it together and learn them because I`ve already have my list of "Things to crochet" put together and I`m not giving up on any of them!

Folk Art Earrings

As promised, here are some more folk art inspired earrings, they can be found in my shop.
I was thinking about making some similar brooches, maybe even some accessories sets like earrings with matching brooch. What do you think? Please leave a comment with your opinion!

Belated Easter Wishes

Hey, sorry for the late post, but I was away for Easter so I didn`t get a chance to blog about this bunny craft I did before I left.
Last year I stumbled upon a cute tutorial on PurlBee.com, but it was after Easter so it was too late to make it, but I promised myself I`d make it for next year.
You can find the tutorial here, it is step-by-step and very well written so it can be followed easily. It`s a great Easter craft, especially if you have little sisters/brothers or even children running around.

Here`s how my version turned out :

New Pincushions

In search of something to do I stumbled upon some bottle caps I have put away with the purpose to make little pincushions out of them. And so I did.
This winter if you remember I posted some mini pincushions on my blog and I also added the link where you can find the how-to for this little project. If you didn`t get the chance to read it or in case you did, but want to revisit it, click here.

This time I used warm, summer-like colors:


On the first one bright red and brown and decorated the sides and top with flowery embroidery:

On the second one I used yellow and brown and decorated the sides with yellow beads and bow:

Springtime Brooches: Blooming Hearts

Continuing the springtime theme I`ve made these felt brooches with blooming hearts on them. They were very simple so I decided to add a cameo like feel to them with the wavy boarders. Here are a few pictures of them:
