More flower brooches

These two models were made using the same pattern and yet they came out so differently. Obviously I used different colored felt and thread. .

I am very happy by the results!Yay!

The first one represent the Edelweiss, an endangered flower that can be found in my country:

The name comes from the German edel (meaning noble) and weiss (meaning white). This little mountain flower believe it or not belongs to the sunflower family.

The second brooch represents the common Sunflower:

Their size is 6x6 cm:

Details:

What do you think do they resemble the flowers from which they were inspired from?

Best wishes,

Flowers in the meadow

"Oh, this field has many beautiful flowers.
Peter, try to smile, not glower.
Donny don't talk so sour,
Katie don't burp with such power.

...
Oh, this field has many beautiful flowers.
All the children looked at the sky.
Watching something fly.
The rest ... the rest has passed me by."

Kistehén Tánczenekar - Virágok a réten

This is such a sweet and happy song from this Hungarian band. They draw on influences from Gypsy, Balkan, and Eastern European folk music, as well as ska, reggae, rock, hip-hop, and even African music.
This remix of "Virágok a Réten" (Flowers in the Meadow) was produced in collaboration with the popular Hungarian Gypsy Band, Romano Drom. The children of members of both bands join in on the chorous, which has silly, kid-friendly lyrics.

She wanted Eeyore!

I love drawing and especially enjoy painting so here is a little of what I have been up to. A while back I made a painting as a gift for these two adorable girls. They love Winnie the Pooh so I drew them the whole gang: Winnie, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet.( Sorry for the bad picture, but since I don't have the painting anymore this will have to do..)

It was so much fun drawing and painting the characters that I decided I will do more paintings of these kind. First it was Mickey and Pluto, then came Speedy Gonzales after that Tom&Jerry and last but not least Garfield. Here they are:

After I got the hang of it a friend asked me to do a comission work for her, she loved how Eeyore turned out in the first painting that she wanted one for herself so I made her one:

Hope you liked it Réka! And she did, yay!!

Bye for now, Enci

Felty Windmills

As kids we would make them from colored paper or newspaper, pin it to a stick and put it out the window or balcony.. from that came the idea to make these lovely brooches.
For the material I used felt and for the center buttons or beads. Here are a few pictures of the ones I made:

Front and back:

They are very easy to make and are ready in no-time. Feel free to ask questions if you want to try your luck with one, they are great accessories and gifts.

So which one/ones do you like?

Have a wonderful day!

Who doesn`t love strawberries?

It was almost a year ago when surfing the internet I found a cute picture of a felt strawberry and I said to myself wouldn`t that be cute for a brooch?
So I tried my luck and made one, actually made three if I remember correctly.

I also recollect that they were a bit fumbling, so I put one of them aside, two found themselves new owners and I forgot about them. This until one day when browsing among pictures inspiration hit and I decided to give it another try. This is how it turned out :

Then I thought to myself it needed some friends :) I made cherry and watermelons too :

The watermelon up-close :

I will be waiting for your opinion, likes, dislikes. Feel free to comment!
Thanks for reading!
